AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A hospital in the Netherlands — the first nation to permit euthanasia — recently proposed guidelines for mercy killings of terminally ill newborns, and then made a startling revelation: It has already begun carrying out such procedures, which include administering a lethal dose of sedatives.
I don’t know if I have ever said this before, but I am a STRONG supporter of the Right to Die.
In the case of the Netherlands, they have created a board to review euthanasia for people with no free will to make that decision, and apparently no one to make that decision for them.
Given the growth of the world’s population and the cost of supporting people who otherwise would not live is extravagant and certainly unnecessary. Who is to pay for this?
If some right-wing organization came forward and said they would pay for everyone who will be kept on life support, sometimes in PAIN, for the rest of their lives so be it. But to squawk in the absence of an alternative solution is nothing but noise.
Further, people will say “They are playing God", I ask you this. Doesn’t God provide for this situation with all other creatures on earth? If a creature is born, and it is too sick to survive, it is allowed to die. Period. To me, that speaks louder of God’s Will than does any old dude sitting in a castle wearing a big white hat.

That’s a 2004 Gap ad with a screen cap from the 2002 ad, just so you can see.
Do you understand what this MEANS?
The HOT Gap Guy is back!
Remember him?
I don’t think I have ever seen such a spontaneous lust from women.
Can someone please Tivo the Gap Ads for me?

I wish they would bring back that old commercial. *sigh*

The Supreme Court is facing the issue of medical marijuana. Naturally, our knights in shining armour, the upholders of all that is good and just and in the name of our saviour, Jebus, are there to protect all of us from the evil REEFER.
Their arguments?
More than 20,000 people die each year because of drug abuse. Ruling for medical marijuana would help drug traffickers avoid arrest, increase the marijuana supply and send a message that illegal drugs are good.
Okay, since none of those make any sense, let’s see how the Bush admin weighed in:
The Bush administration argues that Congress has found no accepted medical use of marijuana and needs to be able to eradicate drug trafficking and its social harms.
Well, I must really be out of the loop. I did not realize Congress was testing marijuana to see if it had an acceptable medicinal use. No one tells me shit apparently.
So, here’s my message to Bush and these idiots lawyers… Want a real drug problem to deal with? How about we start with Nicotine. Then, we could move on the Alcohol. Or even Oxycontin. Those cause a few more deaths per year.
As for Mrs. Anonymous who grows her 10 bushes in her back yard to keep her standard of living even just BARELY above screaming in pain at all times… leave her the fuck alone.

All my life I have been categorized based on my looks.
Apparently, I look “bookish", “librarian-y", “conservative” and “marmy".
The marmy I can work on, the rest… I am not sure where in the hell people get that.
I was at work the other day, in a casual meeting, making ornaments for our wishing tree.
Someone brought up TV shows, and they were talking about the recent “Without a Trace” which starred Elizabeth Berkley as a woman who had an extreme makeover.
So, I said “Yes, that is the same actress who starred in Showgirls".
This man looked at me, and loudly sputtered “YOU saw Showgirls?”
Me: “Yes?” *wondering if that could get me in trouble at work*
Him: “I just can’t see it… I picture you more as the … YOU saw Showgirls?”
Jebus. I felt like saying “Yes, and I subscribe to Playboy, I’ve been in a threesome and I can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch". I refrained.

Yesterday, my sister called to wish me a happy thanksgiving. This is the sister formerly referred to as Pinkie.
She was drunk.
She is not supposed to drink because she had that gastric bypass surgery. But she was drunk. Alone. Drinking Kahlua.
Very alarming, considering she is an alcoholic.

I have not had any nudity around here for a while, so I felt it time to remedy that. Thankfully, Playboy arrived today or the nudity would have been of the canine variety.
Christmas Issue… Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen’s Wife, Memorable Vixen from Wild Things, had a baby earlier this year… (named the poor girlchild Sam). Nonetheless, she is nakkie this month.
Now, the MAIN reason I am posting this wee sampling of her layout is this… natural breastages. By God, I think she has allowed her bewbs to just be what they are, and not run to the plastic surgeon to immediately have them tweaked.
That said… she is behind the cut.

Does anyone besides me stand in the greeting card aisle, reading cards and chortling with abandon, while enduring stares from people with sticks up their asses?
Last night, I bought a birthday card for my stepdad.
Outside:
On your special day, I wanted to say thank you for all the time you spend giving me advice..
Inside:
I don’t follow any of it, but you have such a nice speaking voice.
Heeeeeeee.
I love cards like that because the ones that say: “Thank you for always being there and showing me your love and support” do not apply and Hallmark does not seem to make cards that say: “Were those beatings supposed to teach me something?” or “On your birthday, I’d like to give you a beatdown, just like the ones you used to give me”

Yes, I know I am behind. In fact, I still have not watched the entire first episode.
This is due in part to the fact that Iceland is my DREAM. I want to go there so bad, and they are CAMPING on Vatnajokull! (Vat-NAH-Yo-Kool) (yes, it does bother me that one of the last great areas of nature is being “tourist-ized", but I digress.)
Nonetheless, I love this show. It amazes me how it only takes a little while to come to love some of the teams and hate others.
Me? It was a new record for hate. I started hating Jonathan in the opening segment. The whole time that the intro stuff was being done, he, in his “Look at ME! Discover ME!” yellow shirt, just kept jumping up and down.
Did anyone else want to knock him out?
So, don’t spoil it for me, I have only gotten as far as the teams realizing they were staying in tents on Vatnajokull. If you post a spoiler here, I will hunt you down and make you eat spoiled meat.

Apparently, a group of Greek Lawyers are going to sue Oliver Stone and Warner Brothers for suggesting in the film “Alexander” that Alexander was bisexual.
“Either they make it clear that this is a work of fiction or we will take the case further.”
WTF? No, it is not fiction, it is a recently unearthed documentary. Asses.
We cannot come out and say that (former U.S.) President John F. Kennedy was a shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team and so Warner cannot come out and say Alexander was gay
Jesus H Christ. People are idiots. Gibson can do Passion of the Christ like it is an accurate depiction, but Alexander has to be protected from the “bi” rumors?

In a tiny town in Texas, they have had a tradition of TWIRP (The Woman Is Requested to Pay) day. Boys dress like girls and girls dress like boys and practice role-reversal, asking for dates, etc. It’s been happening for generations.
But ONE concerned parent took legal action over the “cross-dressing day". Delana Davies said she viewed the day not as a silly Homecoming Week activity, but rather something related to homosexuality.
(I had a BF who came out of the bathroom once dressed in a blonde wig and a bra - and he did not want a boy, he wanted ME, and my Gina.)
“It’s like experimenting with drugs,” Davies said. “You just keep playing with it and it becomes customary. … If it’s OK to dress like a girl today, then why is it not OK in the future?”
Mama, if your babies are going to grow up to be cross-dressers, ain’t nothing you can do about it. Jesus H Christ on a crutch.
edit: So, instead of TWIRP day, they are all going to dress like soldiers.

Heh. I love how nervous people are getting about bloggers.
At my work, at least once per day, someone comes and says “Okay, tell me about blogging again” or “What software do I need to buy to read RSS?”
Wonkette spoke on Saturday, offering no apologies for the criticism that blogs like hers “could sway the audience". Yeah, I am pretty sure this country was pretty undecided about who it was voting for until the bloggers posted the exit polls.
Personally, I think the media people sound afraid of us. We spur them into action, we force them to talk about things they may not otherwise have reported, and there are enough bloggers out there with ENORMOUS credibility with their facts.
One woman said what I found to be an odd thing.
Mindy McAdams, a University of Florida journalism professor, applauded bloggers’ efforts but urged them to adhere to ethical standards held by mainstream journalists. “Blogging is really great. I like that more and more people have a voice. That’s good … But it doesn’t give people who call themselves journalists an excuse to not check out the information.”
Thanks Mindy. Professor Mindy.
Do we call ourselves journalists? I call myself just a plain ordinary blogger.
I think I was going to make a point, but I just realized I am VERY tired. But Oooh, Ahhh, look how Tuckle’s design is coming along.
G’Nite.

God help me, I wake up every day tired because of bad dreams.
Last night, I was slightly drunk on some tequila. I went to a party, and for some reason Roy Horn was there. Everyone was being really mean to him, including my boss. I got up in her face, and I left the party.
Then, I was at the home of a friend, and was looking for more liquor. I realized Paisley, my dog, was missing, so I asked Sue where she was. She started crying. I started screaming at her… “Tell me!!!” and she said Paisley had been killed. I demanded to know where her body was. Sue started signing at me, but it was incomprensible signing.
I started breaking things, yelling “Where is Paisley???”
Sue kept signing, so I threw a pitcher of water on her. She was sitting on an electrical cord, so she was getting electrocuted. I tried to pull on her nightgown to pull her off the cord, but I could not save her.
Then, I laid on the floor, screaming about Paisley.
Freaky, no?

It saddens me to my core that they are making drilling in Alaska such a high priority.
I am hanging on to these words from Greenpeace USA Executive Director John Passacantando :
When you listen to President Bush and feel disenfranchised, when you feel like your government doesn’t represent you, when you feel like it is no longer your country, savor that feeling. Before Gandhi, King, Lewis, Parks, Muir and Thoreau went on to do great things, they all felt that way. They felt it, it made them angry, and then it motivated them. Now it’s our turn. Feel pissed off. Then together we will turn it into something.

In Georgia, parents are filing a lawsuit to stop schools from basically promoting the Bible’s version of creation vs. the theory of evolution.
Backed by the ACLU, they are charging that textbooks that are specially stickered with a disclaimer about evolution are mingling religion into the teachings.
Here is the disclaimer:
“This textbook contains material on evolution. Evolution is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered.”
WTF? So, the biblical version is FACT?
If that is all you want your children to hear, then send them to fucking parochial school.

Well, Dear Mr. Bush,
If you are reading this, and I am pretty sure you will…
Take your egotistical fucking rhetoric somewhere else.
May I remind you that you preside over a nation where 1/2 of us did NOT vote for you? That statement just shows that you are completely out of touch with reality, that you are certainly NOT interested in doing a fucking thing about the division in this country or… Bah. Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall.
