My eyes are burning just from reading about one of the scenes from Gigli, already being called a “turkey” even though it just premiered tonight.
Are you ready?
Here is a description of the scene:
“A love scene in which Lopez spreads her legs and tells a smoldering Affleck, “It’s turkey time. Gobble, gobble.”
Ewwwwwwwwwww! “Smoldering Affleck” - somehow, I just can’t see it.

I wish I owned this painting.

It is so haunting, yet the girl reminds me of me.
Mark Ryden’s art is fantastic.

This is the kind of news that just makes my day!
“Big River“, the musical has been revived on Broadway and the production is done in voice and in sign language.
If you have never had the experience of Deaf Theater, I give it my strongest recommendation.

I went to the doctor today, just to stock up on some refills in case I move, which I still not know if I am doing, in fact, I do not even know if I will have a job tomorrow morning, so things are kind of nuts…
But…
what gives a doctor the right to think they can allow you to schedule you for a 3:30 appointment and not call you in until 5 pm?
And then, stick their head in and ask if you mind waiting while she gives a patient who came in after you priority because he is having surgery tomorrow?
Luckily, I was feeling bitchy and said “Yeah, I do mind. Just write me the prescriptions and I will be out of your hair".
Bah.

I have not been blog hopping lately because my life is in fucking turmoil.
So, tonight I do, and I see two different entries, on blogs I normally respect, where they took another blogger’s entry and dissected it, ripping said blogger a new asshole in the process.
It made me sad. Very sad.

I was giggling like a little girl. Check it out.

One thing I like about blogs is that people post their random surf finds for me.
In that spirit, I pass these along.
Test your typing speed online - I SUCK at typing tests.
25th Annual Mooning of Amtrak - They should make this a charity event, like Blogathon. Get sponsored to moon!

Did you know that dog noses are as unique as fingerprints?
They are.
And now, for our viewing pleasure, someone has put up a gallery of dog noses.
I am in heaven.

This quiz was too silly for me to pass up.

Oooo… Intelligent Angelina is after a piece of
your boo-tay. Sipping martinis as you discuss
the state of Cambodian politics is your ideal
night. You’ll gladly be part of her entourage
as she does her ambassadorial duty, and you’ll
be right by her side as she wins the Nobel
Peace Prize. Then you get to have lots of
highly intelligent, kinky sex.
Which Angelina Loves You?

I have been quiet on the Kobe thing because I am speechless that people have already decided that he is not guilty because he is on their favorite basketball team.
However, some idiocy has crept in that I must comment on.
People are making the stupidest comments out there in blog land, e.g., “What an idiot! Have you seen his wife?” as if the adultery would be condoned if his wife was not a beauty.
Or “He did not rape her because he could get anyone he wanted". Shyeah, because rape is about sex.
Assholes.

I am a week behind on my blogs.
Oh sure, I pop in here and leave some fascinating tidbit for you, my two readers to enjoy.
But there is a HOST of blogs I love reading and I have just not been able to get to it this week.
Tonight that changes. As soon as I am finished watching the Boomtown rerun, I will stay here all night if that is what it takes.
I miss you guys. *cries*

I have made the decision to move to another state… Colorado to be exact.
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Los Angeles? I hesitate to say I hate California because there are some lovely parts of it. Too bad the northern part cannot become a separate state.

The Icelandic Phallogical Museum is for sale.
(be sure to click the images link, if for no other reason than to see the “next” and “back” images.)
A Brit may try to buy it.
I would like to see them do a museum tour.

I have the weirdest things happen sometimes. I swear I am a little bit psychic.
Last night, this guy I used to work with figured prominently in my dreams. (nothing sexual, get your minds out of the gutter!)
This morning I woke up very puzzled about this, as I have not thought of him in months.
Then I remembered… it is his birthday today!
I just thought that was weird.

I hate hot weather. I especially hate hot weather when you live somewhere that the news pretty much says “Try not to breathe tomorrow, the air is unhealthful".
And yet more asshats are running out to buy Hummers.
I’d like anyone to give me a good reason that anyone needs to drive a Hummer.
I go to the therapist today and I am in a bad mood. Maybe that is a good thing.
This is definitely a “who fucking cares” kind of day, so I will come back later.

If that asshat playing President even THINKS about doing anything related to his next run at President (i.e., accepting the nomination, using it as a place to campaign from) at Ground Zero, I will be there to boo.
In fact, I am booing now. It cannot happen.

Sadly, the conjoined Iranian twins did not survive the surgery to separate them.
To me, they were the epitome of courage. They were willing to die for a chance at life, a chance to pursue their dreams. I admire them greatly and send prayers to their family.

Rambling that is.
I am feeling a little high from the medicine they gave me to help me sleep, so like any good child of the 60s I am enjoying the buzz for a while. It sure is hard to type.
Had a big wake-up call today. I have a friend named Sue. We were best friends from 1-7 grade, inseparable. Our family lives were very different. Mine was hell, hers was as normal as normal could be. Oh sure, her family has it share of shit, but at least the daddy was not molesting the little girls.

I truly hope all of you are having a great weekend. Me? I’ve just been working.
Yesterday was a hoot because the neighbors had a garage band for their bash. My heavens, they were bad. They sung Beatles tunes, John Mellencamp songs, but the worst had to be their renditions of Hall and Oates. GAH!
“But your kiss, your kiss is on my lips”
Cowbell: Clang, clang, clang, clang!

As Bush skips visiting the Congo on his African trip, people start talking.
I would think that a president who was willing to send 200,000 U.S. troops to Iraq because of Hussein’s mass graves might want to check out firsthand the 20 mass graves recently unearthed in Congo, freshly filled with close to 1,000 victims of genocidal massacres. There’s your casus belli right there. That is, if there is any substance to this new Bush doctrine that evil dictators who abuse their own people must be deposed, by force if necessary, even if they pose no imminent threat to the U.S.
As Scott says… Bush Lied. People Died.

On my local news here in Los Angeles, there was just the most propagandized (is that a word?) story! I am speechless.
It seems a kid decided to buy some “Safe and Sane” fireworks, take them apart for the powder inside of them, and try to build a bomb.
His idiotic idea did not work and exploded, causing third degree burns on his forehead.
The news reported this as a reason that fireworks are not safe and sane and no one should be allowed to buy them.
I am not a big fun of fireworks, but not everyone who buys them is a fuckwit who tries to make a BOMB with them. Jeeeez.
