This story just struck me as funny…

not because the deer were hurt or that the women suffered minor abrasions… what gets me is the image of the deer prancing around the store.

I just downloaded, installed and tested the other popular blogging software. After much playing around, I have decided to stick with this one. (Don’t hurt me Jess!)

Although I love the capabilities of the other as far as formatting the layout, I prefer all the built-in stuff this one has like the recent entries, the categories for entries, etc.

So, rather than go crazy trying to decide which to use, I am sticking with this one and moving on to the all important decision of choosing a domain name which will be used solely for my blog.

I hope I have finally got this dang thing set up correctly. As someone who has QA’d instructions in the past, the instructions that came with this blog software were not that accurate.

First they say “Skip this step” then later, you really did need it.

Okay, so, it seems to be working. I guess for the next few days I will be figuring out how to change the colors of my lovely new blog.

It’s almost impossible to believe that my mom died 9 months ago. I miss her so much most days, it is almost too much too bear.

The worst times are when I think “Ooh, I gotta call Mom and tell her about this!” and then I get hit with the reality again.

I hate it. I can’t even really talk about it too much yet.

GAH! Is there anything worse than connectivity problems? Lovely Earthlink DSL has been acting up for the last several days… in fact, I am hold with them now.

How did we live before the internet? HOW???

Well, I am not sure if I am lazy, daft, cheap or all of the above, but I just cannot figure out the bloggers at some of the other sites. So, since I pay for this site, I decided to try to make my own blog of sorts.

This has been a really rough week. In July, my sister decided to adopt a dog. I already have one…Paisley Sparkle. CJ (my sis) adopted Winston.

Well, since we adopted Winston, he has bitten me twice… most recently about three days ago. It was a very bad bite to my chin. So, we decided to see if we can get him adopted out to someone else. We called the Humane Society to see if they could help us, but once they knew he had bitten someone he had to be quarantined.

So, it has been very sad, and we miss him. BUT, when we went to visit him yesterday, he bared his teeth at me AGAIN! So, it looks like we will not be able to bring him home. My heart breaks for my sister, she really loves him. If I had the means, I would move so she could keep him. It is just a very sad situation.

I found a Shih Tzu rescue online and they are going to try to help me find a one-person home for him.

Well, that’s it for now, I am going to try to upload this and see how it goes.
